Firefox 4 beta is now 2 days old. Can't tell if anything is different from previous nightly builds that I have been using other than some working extensions now stop working

I used Opera back in the day when it was all about gestures. And it was the fastest. Then I don't know what happend but it started getting worse.

My preferences now go in order below:
  • Chrome
  • FF
  • Safari
  • Opera
  • IE

I definitly like Chrome the best so far. It's really stable and pretty damn responsive. I also like that gears is packaged in it and from what I gather if you develop using gears on Chrome then you'll be able to switch pretty easily to HTML5 when it's ready.

I should just say with Firefox, there are also API options that Mozilla is hoping will integrate into the HTML5 spec. So I guess it's all about *what actually gets included into the spec between the two APIs.

I have minefield installed it always seems faster then FF. Must be the newer technology. But because it's beta (and possibly buggy) I can't depend on it rendering the same as FF. Which is what I need ensure cross browser compatibility.

I believe that Mozilla has done the integration already with 3.6 version. It is more like fine tuning at the moment for FF4. And yes I like the speed and snappiness of Minefield, too bad for the extensions.

They fix Yahoo mail with yesterday's build. Rendering is quick and clean so far.

Today's Minefield (FF4 Beta) build lost for/back-ward icon

Few sites with heavy flash will not load - like imageshack. It will not even attempt to load, just the word "done" and nothing.

I'll wait for the official 4.0 but if anything that matches what the current Minefield 4.02 beta, this 4.0 will fly.

I used it before and posted in one thread around here somewhere. It is good, but they dev really needs to put more effort into it.
