most likely, but it will probably void you warranty. Try to find an acer service manual that details disassembly of the computer, they usually detail processor removement and replacement.

I know the Acer Aspire 1700/1710 can be fully upgraded including the CPU. In fact, the user manual even shows the procedure since it is very simple.

However, on most other machines, you will have to do it at your own risk and will require a service manual which shows how to disassemble the machine since CPU upgrades are not really meant for end users to perform.
