iPAD, iPAD2 ... simply iPad - Page 5

Well being the hypocrite I am, when I was in Vegas, I bought myself the basic IPAD.... Now I truly see what it is - one word - brilliant.... I am converted, well in a sense... I see no USB port, camera or card slot and the reason is - superb battery life... You start plugging peripherals and power management drastically alters...

Reasons I bought it...

Wife allowed me to.....
It is quick on the web... More or less online instantly...
Its good for travelling, very good and that is due to battery life, weight, size and ease of use when finding a free wifi spot...
And, I found with my iphone, I used certain apps, notably iBooks when travelling, which is good on the iphone, but great on the ipad...

And no, I am not ditching all for apple... All my laptops and PC's stay.....

I hope you end up using it a lot.

That looks really cool, though I don't really understand what the difference between an iPod touch and an iPad is. All I know that the iPad is a little bigger and more computer like. I guess if you can post to forums with an iPad it's worth it IMO. The iPod Touch you couldn't really see the words on the screen too well in forums.

There are many members that post from their mobile (cell) phone using either the small keyboard or a stylus or finger nail, so I guess it is just a matter of preference and getting used to it.

There's a thing on the iPod touch where you can see certain forums that are on this list thingie in regular default letters and it makes it so that it's easier to read and post than just having it in a regular iPod browser. I forget what it's called though.

Apple has had composite and component connectors for ipods for years now that does EXACTLY what this does and it doesn't have that awkward two cable dock connector thing going on either.

True but one would need to get a whole set (Apple Dock, AV Connection kit - 2 sets of cable) and some of the AV cable are not compatible from Pod to Pad, besides the $$$$$
