Taking drive out - Voiding Warranty?

Hi All,
I figured this is the place to ask the experts on this.
I want to send my Acer notebook (5310 series) in for warranty (the power is gone, and it won't switch on) and I want to take the drive out (so I can make a backup) and put it back in.

Before I contact them, will they cover me for warranty if I have taken the drive out and put it back in? I'm guessing not. So could I do it without them knowing that i've opened the back panel (ie is there a sticker/label or something that tells if you've voided the warranty)?

Thanks all, thats all I need to know

as long as you don't damage anything, you should be fine.

i've taken my drive out numerous times and it does not void the warranty.
