I really need help.

i need help to find my dream notebook. these are the specs i am looking for:

centrino based machine:

1.7 PM
1024 mB RAM (333 or 400)
radeon 9700 with 128 Mb
a hdd with 7200 rpm.
DVD/CD-rw
ANY kind of screen.

plz help!!!

btw. i dont want voodoo, hypersonic, falcon, powernotebook, dell.

Those companies are the only ones that offer such a notebook.

Toshiba makes pretty good machines with those specs.. Id look at buying one from them..

are you sure evil? All the toshibas I have seen come with pretty crappy video cards.

Sorry, but you could not be more wrong.
Toshiba makes no laptop with close to those specs.
No Toshiba has a 9700 video card.
No Toshiba is available with a PM 1.7
No Toshiba is available with a 7200rpm drive.
No Toshiba uses DDR400.

the harddrive w/ 7200rpm is going to be the sticking point, as none other than the boutique companies (voodoo, alienware, etc) are likely to offer it.

That sounds like my IBM Thinkpad R50P 183223U. Expensive, but great laptop.

You could always buy one without a 7200 and purchase that yourself. Look at one of the new acers (8004 will probably be the 1.7ghz model).
