That's XMP memory. The M17x-R1 does not support XMP profiles. Doesn't mean it won't work, you just won't see some of the advertised specs is all.

I don't know what I was thinking with my last post (was at work?) low voltage and tri channel opps! Nevermind.

As long as the specs and price are good I say go for it. Don't pay extra for speed you can't use or XMP but nothing wrong having both if cost is not issue.

I'm hoping M17xR2 supports XMP but with the control we have of the bios it might not matter.
