m11x review

I posted some more detail pictures and also some more 3dmark scores. If anybody has any questions let me know and Ill trey and answer them.

Oh and btw I think that 2 1/2 hours on the external vc is pretty accurate, Ive been playing games and running 3d mark for 1.5 hours and Im at 57% on the battery now

M11x arrived tonight at 5:30PM

Quick synopsis before reviewing unit tomorrow hopefully:

1. Build quality solid
2. Was DOA out of the box, opened up the bottom panel and reseated memory and HDD, booted up fine and is working fine.
3. Quickly installed LFD2 and played it at High levels and flowed perfectly.
4. Cover (Lid) is made of plastic, unlike my M17x made of metal, and has a TON of fine scratches on it, almost as if whomever was working on it upside down installing components didn't have anything underneath it to protect it!! Should I call Dell and have them send someone out to replace (don't want to send it back)?
5. Wireless is awesome.
6. Trackpad, while no scrolling is there, works flawlessly.

Will try and have a full review up tomorrow or Friday at the latest, and will take pics with my Nikon D90 SLR for high res shots of the entire thing!!

At 4) - definitively. Shoddy work for a brand new comp. I would try to call them up for a local swap.

Thats a bummer, mine was perfect out of the box. Thats what Happened to me with my MALX, its doa bigger than crap and I had to send it back. The MB was bad. That will sure spoil things, I hope they resolve to your satisfaction

i had mine for two days before it took a crap. it wont even startup anymore. dell is sending over a technician with a new motherboard. hopefully that'll fix it. if not its going back for a refund.

yea, the motherboard is waiting at fedex for the tech to pick it up. i hope he can get it soon and call me to setup a time to fix this thing.
