Dv9033cl with Windows XP Media Center Edition

Thread Starter
Hi,
I bought Pavilion dv9033cl on 2007. Unfortunatlly, when initial the notebook PC I skipped the option of preparing recovery disc.
The OS is Windows XP Media Center Edition.
Yesterday a trojan attacked my notebook and a blue error screen prevent the notebook to boot windows.
I tried to recover it from partition D, but I got error message saying the registry was coruptted (stop: 0x0000218)
I chatted HP online and thay told me I need to recover the notebook from the recovery disc. The said I can order them from HP, but it is only available for US & Canada residents.
I'm staying outside the US and have no option of buying it from HP.
Does someone here have an idea how to find this recovery kit (discs) in the internet?

Thanks,
XMAN

It will be probably easier to find someone that has Media Center Edition installation disk and re-install it anew, using your COA key underneath the notebook.

Drivers you can pick them up from HP support site.

cheers ...
