Blank screen

I have a Winbook V330 and the screen is blank. Before if I tapped the base of the screen the information would display. Now tapping the base of the screen doesn't work, nothing shows on the screen. The backlite works, I can increase/decrease the brightness. Plugging into a external monitors shows the information.
Is it the inverter or the screen that has to be replaced. If its the screen where can I get another one. I've done a search and can't locate any replacement for the V330. There are that has the screen for the V300.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Reset/replace the CMOS battery. It might be dead

Steve, if it was the CMOS battery wouldn't there be other symptoms?. The time and date is correct.

If you can see the screen on an external monitor, more likely that the inverter is failing.

Personally? No. But powerpack had a good point there, you can try re-seat all the LCD cables first, maybe there is some related issues.
