Recovery Disk - Acer Aspire 5600

I was given a broken 5600 - if I could fix it, it was mine. I fixed the electrical fault, but also foolishly deleted the hidden partition 1, which apparently held the restore image. The donor doesn't have the recovery CD, and I now need to do a full recovery. The drivers on the Acer site don't quite do the trick, and there's nothing I can find on the site to buy a new recovery disk. Any advice would be very welcome.

Which OS are you planning to install? Drivers form Acer Site should be more than enough to help you install a system anew.

List out what is stopping you, maybe we can chip in some input.

I found the recovery CD area on the acer.com site;

Looks like a solution

Thank you ghn for your trouble. If Saugen 48 hadn't come up with the site page, I'd be taking advantage of your kind offer. However, thank you so much Saugen48 for finding the page for me. Am now wrestling with their system which won't recognise the laptop S/N, but am hoping they will respond to my email.
Thanks again
John

No trouble at all. We are here to give input when and where we can. You are the one that decides which way you take. (should be) No offense to anyone that you don't go her/his route. Good luck.
