ex300 and Windows 7 sleep mode

Hey guys, just installed win 7 on an old trusty x300 (1.4Ghz PM, 640MB of RAM).

It runs great! actually, very impressed. anyway, about the only frustrating thing is that S3 or System standby is not available. its grayed out on the start menu....I have power button behavior manually mapped to standby, but it hibernates instead.

Any ideas why standby is unavailable?

There is really "no" standby under Vista / Windows 7. For this you might need some Dell tweaking utilities

cheers ...

Windows 7 most definately supports S3.

I found the solution with some serious googling. running powercfg -a tells all
