Need help deciding if Vostro 1320 is my next laptop.

So my XPS where I usually do all my work is dead and I need a replacement asap. I don´t want anything expensive because I will probably be changing this laptop in a year but I don´t want the worst laptop either.

I want something around 12 to 13", fast, that can handle the latest windows without lag or anything. I don´t plan to play games on this laptop, maybe some movies. I will usually be using it for Word, internet, and regular things.

I saw this Vostro 1320 and this are the specs that Dell is offering, which seems pretty good for the price:

My System Details
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, with Media, 32-bit, English
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T6670 w/ VT (2.1GHz, 2MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz, 2 DIMM
320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with Free Fall Sensor
13.3 inch WXGA Anti-Glare Display
8X DVD+/-RW with double-layer DVD+/-R write capability, Roxio and Cyberlink PowerDVD™ DX 8.1
Intel® Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Dell Wireless™ 1397 802.11b/g Mini Card
Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth 2.0 Vista
Integrated 1.3MP Webcam and Digital Mic with webcam

Subtotal$635

Im did a research on reviews of this lappy on notebookforums but can´t find any. Please if someone have this laptop, would you please recommend it or give your opinion of it.

Also I´m willing to add the 256mb video card for $100
NVIDIA® GeForce™ 9300M GS 256MB [add $100]
If the Integrated its really bad.

Also I want to know if I can expand in the future the memory to maybe 8gb. I know you need to change the OS and everything, but just want to know if that is a possibility.

Thanks all in advance.

I am a fan of the optional GPU and think it's worth the extra $ 100.00 and only adds to the resale value.

I had a Vostro laptopand was very happy with the build and performance

4 GB will be enough memory.

Thank you, I think I will order it on this weekend.

About the memory, sorry it was a question, can I upgrade it to 8gb or 4gb the max?

I can't find that configuration anymore, now that I was going to buy it.

I can't add the 256 video card anymore and I pay more for the 4gb of ram. Also the HDD is not 320gb. Also it doesn't have bluetooth.

I was paying $635 for the first's post configuration plus $100 for the 256 card.

Now for the same configuration I need to pay
$749, and with integrated video card.

What should I do? This is really sad.

Do you think I will get that same offer again?

Offers come back and forth. They might have replaced it with the new core-i3/core-i5 though for about the same price?

cheers ...

Thanks for the advice.

Now its showing the same offer as my First post but without the 256nvidia video card option. I think I´m just going to get it with the integrate card.

About the core i3 and i5, is there a huge difference with core 2 duo? Should I wait till to get the core i3 instead of buying this one with core 2 duo?

Edit>

My order failed and I end up with my money back.

Just for the sake of the thread, I end up buying the Vostro 3300 with core i3 for almost the same price and same specs.

Thanks in advance
