I have a 5738z and upgraded to windows 7. I had to do a clean install as I upgraded to x64 Win7 from x86 vista to use the 4gb of RAM the machine has. The upgrade went fine, no problems. All drivers installed fine and the machine runs great. My problem is that the ePower button will not work no matter what I try (it's the P button on other models) and it wont light up green. I've used the Acer upgrade disk, which installed the launch manager software, but the button still wont work. Has anyone got a solution to this?

I purchased this Nook Color specifically because I was taking a very long trip to China and wanted to be able to read without carrying a ton of books. I also liked that it had email capability...

I understood what you posted, what you have and what your problem is.
The (sticky) link gives you the possibility to get all Acer special apps needed to run under Windows 7, that might have been missed during the upgrade process. cheers ... |
No, the sticky gives 2 links, one to see if your laptop is elligible for a windows 7 upgrade, and another to download the upgrade DVD. As I have already stated, I HAVE the Acer upgrade DVD, recieved with my upgrade pack, which I have already stated did not work. TBH I really dont think posting links to stickies that most people would read before posting is in any way helpful.

also make sure you have updated your bios for W7 as well.
I'm not "getting all bent out of shape". I just find generic replies that offer no help a waste of time. BIOS is updated, Windows 7 upgrade DVD already installed launch manager. This is a problem with a lot of users who have upgraded to Windows 7 on this particular model, and no one seems to know the solution, least of all Acer support (seems they haven't printed a flow chart for this one yet). Excuse my sarcasm, but Acer really need to get their act together with support. Why offer a so called Upgrade DVD when it does not even restore the laptops basic functions.
