M11x processor swap

Hey guys, I've got an M1330 which has decided to completely fall apart on me. I need a small reliable notebook for work and maybe a few games.

The M11x looks promising but Im wondering if it would be possible to swap a SP9400 in rather than the little 1.3GHz rubbish SU4100/SU7300. Will they be embedded/ soldered processors on these boards or will they be free to swap like my M1330?

I'm not concerned about voiding warranty's just concerned with whether or not this is a viable option.

Thanks!

Nigel

Gonna have some bad news all you mentioned only come as BGA so I believe that means soldered. The 15w higher TDP is like 150% increase and that would also be an issue.

Yes, it's not possible to swap out the SP9400 for the SU7300.

There's one that has hybrid/switchable graphics like the m11x, but the gpu isn't quite as good. It's the ASUS UL30JT Linky Here
