so i finally got my instant-on media player working on my laptop but it will not play mkv files or bluray discs. this is the main reason for using the software. can anyone help me out? i've searched google and found no answer. Any help is appreciated.

Two ways I think, never use them myself, but seem/sound logical:

. Map the instant-on to invoke another media player that supports playing mkv files.

. Patch Windows Media Player.

already got the right codecs to play mkvs on media player. but still wont work with instanton or arcade deluxe (in windows)

I don't think that codecs alone would make Windows Media Player play mkv files. You need to patch the registry. Take a look at the link in my post above.

instant on was only designed for DVD's. it will not play bluray or MKV.

You only need to download the divx or klite codec to make WMP play MKV files.

If you want to convert them to play on a PS3 get MKV2Vob
