My G73 finally returns today!!

Pros
  • A portable gaming system that's actually portable!
  • Back-lit Keyboard
  • 4 Memory Slots
  • Bright 1920x1080 LED back-lit screen
  • System stays cool under normal conditions
  • Easy access to hard disk.
  • Can over-clock ANY processor by 7%
  • Most options available to over-clock the i7-920XM

Cons
  • No Crossfire option
  • No Displayport
  • No Express Card slot
  • Proprietary GPU
  • Touchpad takes some getting used to
  • Keyboard has lag issues
  • Systems that come with only 1 hard disk, come with only 1 hard disk bracket.
  • Only three of the four memory slots are easily accessible.
  • No easy access to CPU and GPU. Requires to be completely disassembled including system board removal to get at.

nice pics. When you do a review of your new computer (hint, hint ), I'm interested to know how far the lid opens. It obviously does not open a full 180 degrees and I'm curious as to how far it does open.

I think I created this thread too early. Now delayed until March while Newegg is now selling these. I will never do a pre-order again. Lesson learned.

I do want one of your incredible dissections of this machine NW. I do hope it holds up to the NW stress test. It is a very unforgiving test to say the least. No weak systems need apply!

lol, definitely. I'll be pulling the system apart either Friday or Saturday. Looks like full system board removal to swap out the processor.
