In parts or as a whole?

XPS M1710, no hard drive, no video card. Everything else works flawlessly. Comes with 2gb RAM. Can't think of what else to mention but if there are questions to ask, please feel free to ask them.

Is $350 having my hopes too high?

I'd put it at around $200 as a whole. Complete units are selling for around $400 on eBay, but since yours doesn't have a video card, it loses a lot of value. The lack of a hard drive doesn't help either, but not as bad as the lack of a video card.

What about broken down as parts?

I don't have a lot of experience in selling/breaking computers...if it's anything like cars, it's worth more as parts.

wow...borwsed through eBay's completed listings...prices all over the board all for what seem to be the same computers.

Does it matter that it has a red case?

it's possible that you could get more for the parts - the screen and motherboard would be worth more that way, and potentially the CPU would be as well.
