I would say you got a better replacement than your old E1705

The ATI GPU should be faster, and of course your new unit supports x64 Bit Software and hardware.

Thats what I thought. I was going to push for the screen issue since the resolution isn't the same but the blu-ray burner makes up for it

and the 2 x 500 GB Drives, along with the 8 GB of memory

What is wrong with your E1705?

Yea, ill stick to what they gave me.

On a side note anyone have any issues with turning the computer back on after it goes to sleep/hibernation? It wont come out of it and have to do a force shutdown and then when it turns on it just freezes once windows is loaded up. I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

Yea, they didn't even tell me what they shipped. It just showed up at my door 2 weeks later and boy was I surprised when I saw it.

I was getting ready to post a similar thread when I found this one. Just had one of my i9400's in my signature replaced with similarly spec'd 1747 as the one you received. You made out a bit better than I. But dual 320gb 7200's instead of 500gb's is something I'll just have to live with... Hell they told me that mine was going to the depot and instead the computer showed up and I received a notice to exchange it instead so it was a very pleasant suprise. That i9400 would've been a good computer if it weren't for the 9 service tickets since I purchased it around 2004. Hope this Studio 1747 has better heat management for the vid card!
