That is correct! It was a tip from a co-worker, give it a shot, won't hurt.

I tried it. Installs fine but when I try to open camera I get a "no camera found" message pop up. Before, I was getting "There is no camera installed or it is in use by another program or user" If you or anyone else has any suggestions or ideas please let me know. Thanks

Still no luck... I've tried all EM 250 and AOD 250 drivers for all operating systems. I've tried all the Acer Notebook 250 drivers and the eMachines E725 drivers and the Vista 0.934 driver. What driver is working for those who have upgraded to Windows 7? I saw in the beginning on the thread to use the Acer Liteon drivers but they don't work for me. Oh, well. I don't have to have the webcam working, I never use it, I just can't stand that I couldn't get it to work.

From what I know, there is no need to touch the webcam when you upgrade from Vista to Windows 7. May be the Windows 7 Lite version is the issue when upgrading?

I bought the laptop used and the product key on the bottom was worn so much I couldn't tell what OS was originally installed on it. When I bought it there was Windows 7 starter on it but it wasn't a legit Windows installation and was asking for a product key all the time but the webcam did work. I too think it's the OS causing the problem since I have tried all the drivers. Thanks

eMachines has the link for the 250 drivers here. Have you tried them out?
