DVR RW FOR 5680?

Hi,

I know that is very old my laptop but is still very good. I use it since 2003 and i am very happy except the toshiba SD-R6112 which never work proberly. Please if anybody have used any DVD RW new model that is compatible or if you can advice what to look for.

Try some of the LGs? I use them for internal and external. Drivers are abundant for them. Look for some Double Layer ones also.

I have read somewhere on the internaet that the drive must have a cable select option to be compatible with sager NP5680.
Know anything about this?

unfortunately i was read it some time ago but i cannot locate it again. That's why i am asking again regarding this. The DVD Rom must be IDE correct?
