I don't see why one would want XP for 3D gaming. I was at CeBIT yesterday and got a hand-on experience with 3D gaming under Windows 7. It just blows your mind. FPS stayed solid even when one played with depth intensity.

We played the 3D on nVidia and ATI HD5870, the ATI was smoother and "cooler" with Aliens vs Predator
