I dug up an old hard drive that I used to run on my Win XP until the mobo died and have left it there ever since. Today, I decided to hook it up again and see what files I have on it.
This is a 20gig HD, pATA drive that used to be a secondary drive (for storage purpose only) on an XP machine. Given the size I'm assuming it is Fat32, but it's just my guess.
At first, when I tried to activate it through My Computer > Manage, it would only give me the option to convert to Dynamic Disk. I remember I've ran into this problem before but solved it using a hex editor to change a value from 42 to 07 (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=191006) and succeeded that time. But this time, it did not help.
Please see the attached photos for detail to my drive. *this is the disk 3 row*
1. Right clicking on the "Disk 3" box gives me:

2. Right click on the "18.29GB" box gives me:

3. Right clicking on the "836MB" box gives me:

I'm unable to assign a drive letter to this. Any help on getting access to this drive would be much appreciated!!
