802.11n mini card for m1210

My trusty m1210 is still going strong. I just got a Netgear WNDR3700 router, so I wanted to upgrade my wifi card. Will any mini card work? I know the Dell 1500 & 1505 as well as the Intel 4965 work. But what about the Intel Ultimate-N 6300? Are there any limitations of my laptop that would prevent ANY mini card from working? BTW, I'm still running XP Media Center x32 on it.

your limitation is you must use the same card type that is compatile with your laptop

E.G. Mini PCI, Mini PCIe, Half Hight Mini PCIe, etc.

than getting the proper driver.

My m1210 has the Intel 3945abg PCIe Mini Card. So that rules out the Intel 6300. I guess I'll get the Intel 5300 which is compatible. Do they make an adapter for the Half height mini cards?

You might not need one since it would not pop up high enough to be held down.

cheers ...
