I just bought the k61ic a1. Spent the first day drooling over it

Okay, two questions:
1. The smart logon does not seem t recognise my face. Av tried deleting all the images in the logon library. Still does not work
2. The battery light stopped showing at above about 80%. It has not lighted up since then. Is it normal?
3. How does express gate work in this laptop.
