MSI Debuts its HD5800 notebook series
MSI today launched two new gaming notebooks with DX11 GPU (Shader Model 5) sporting a beautiful brushed aluminum casing:
- GX640: 15.4" stock with HD5850/1GB at 2.7kg
- GX740: 17" stock with HD5870/1GB at 3.2kg
Both offer a resolution of 1680x1050 pixels and can be configured with Core i5-430M (dual-core - 2.26GHz - 3MB) or i7-720QM (quad-core - 1.6 GHz - 6 MB) and up to 8 GB of DDR3.
Disk drive composes of 500 or 640 GB, a DVD burner or a combo Blu-ray, and a 4-in-1 card reader. Not to overlook gigabit LAN, WiFi, Bluetooth and WebCam.
The 9-cell battery should allow handling or performance as needed in vue of the strong system specs.
Available next month, the GX640 starts at 1049 EUR, and the GX740 at 1099 euros.
