Please help me find drivers for Toshiba Sattelite A10

Hello there,

Today I was given a really old toshiba laptop by a friend, and of course he had lost the drivers cd. I really need help finding the drivers but i cant seem to find them on the toshiba website ( i only found wifi drivers but nothing for chipset/usb etc). Maybe someone here has a better idea ??

I believe the laptop was purchased in australia, and the details are below:

Toshiba Satallite A10 System Unit
Model no. PSA10A-01SLLP
SERIAL NO- 73041629P

This is a really old laptop from 2003, and I just managed to install Windows 2000 on it, since Windows xp would crash every time at the end of the installation.

I tried and cannot find the original just a few updates. I went to the Australian site, no luck. At this point sorry.

yea ive done the same to no avail. Perhaps someone here has old drivers of this laptop, or if anyone knows, would the drivers for this laptop be similar to the other A10 models sold in europe and the US. On those websites they have drivers for their models, what do you guys think??

I should think that most of the hardware components would be the same or very close. Is there any way you could get a specification list of the Aussie model and compare it to a US or Canadian model. If basically the same then would try either the US or CDN website

yea it worked, thanks a lot.

Now i realized there is another problem with the laptop, the little cpu fan plug on the motherboard broke off and the fan isnt working. I am thinking of soldering the thing back on but its just so damn tiny that i dont think it will be possible. Any thoughts?

Get yourself another connector and replace the one on the motherboard?

It broke or the weld/solder broke? You are talking about resoldering what was already soldered not ghetto rigging?
