DV7T Quad-Intel drivers refusing to install-HELP!

Sorry for yet another help question here but I'm kinda stumped on this.

I'm trying to install:

1.) Intel turbo boost technology driver (for i7 processors) and...

2.) Intel management engine driver

I keep getting an error message telling me that my hardware doesn't meet the minimum system requirements to install the software...which makes no sense! I've already installed the Intel chipset driver and the intel rapid storage driver AKA matrix storage driver. These two must be installed before installing the ones that are refusing to install.

I called HP, got India and the guy insists just because the driver is listed for my product doesn't mean it needs to be installed. I just kinda laughed it off, he was useless.

So I did a google search on the problem and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem getting these two drives to install-same error message and everything.

Anyone have any info on IF they really need to be installed and if so, how the heck do you get them to install already?

Thanks

Dayvid I know more about #1 not #2? You should not have to install anything for Turbo to work? I posted about testing if you need to. The OP found an Intel turbo monitor on their own. Have a try if trouble post back and I will get more info.

#2? I have no idea say more?

Thanks power...you are the man on here lol.

OK so regarding the turbo boost driver...I'm following a driver thread on notebookreview.com about my system and all the drivers for it...an easier place to go to get all the drivers since HP doesn't list everything on their site. The guy who (almost on a daily basis) updates the thread insists that you must install the turbo boost driver but you must do so after you have installed the chipset driver (which I already installed.) Take a look at the thread (it's the first post in the thread.): http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=404164

So if I don't need it, that's fine and I guess that explains why nobody else can seem to get it to install either.

As far as #2. goes, yeah I got a response from notebookreview that that software is more for corporate users and I don't need to worry about it.

So I'm still waiting on the final word regarding #1.

Thanks!

I got banned from NBR after well passing Chaz in rep? So if I seem bitter? Yes I am!

That said stop doing what you are doing. I will find you the applications you need to confirm. But stop for now please. I will go NBR undercover.

Hey you have any questions about "dual channel" RAM? I hear the guy who wrote it is a genius. NBR dual channel RAM guide.
I looked at NBR link. Driver updates are meant as fixes for problems? Do not do this stuff at this point. How will we help you when an update causes a problem? I don't know.

Quit playing with your system. Determine if it even works from the get go?

I will now go find the links you need. Please stop changing everything so as when a problem presents we all have no clue?

Yea more posts is tempting but more bad info is not better. NBR has chased off 90% off the intelligent posters I knew.

Changing drivers and BIOS as a matter of fact is just stupid. I have tried to express. But you kids will do as you do, I understand.

This is the link for the Turbo monitor, link.

I am less than happy with your link to NBR. Mostly because I cannot comment over there. I think it is absurd but yes it does have hits/fools.

Dude I'm confused lol.

The thread at NBR was suppose to be a helpful thread for those looking for the latest drivers for their system, it has nothing to do with "messing with stuff" or anything else like that. I just did a clean install on my system so I figured I would follow that thread verses HP's site...as they don't have all the drivers listed. I'm really confused what you are saying here lol. I'm an advanced computer user, I know how to install drivers and all that good stuff. The problem was that the driver would not install.
OK I am also confused? Why would a brand new computer need updates? Why would a brand new computer from an OEM need updates from some knuckle head on NBR or any other site? Yea I ****ing wonder myself? Why would you need to do a clean install?

I really do not know? Not my job. But glad you hooked up with those fools.

I really can't say more clearly that between you and them you guys are not very smart (them not you)? Sorry?

Edit: I don't mean that against you. I am sorry. But the strategy is not good. I would like to help you but stop doing what the fools say please.

Dude most advance users do "clean installs" when they buy new computers. That is why I'm reinstalling everything because I wiped my hard drive, reinstalled Windows 7 and I am now in the process of reinstalling all my drivers for my hardware.

Do I hear ah "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh OK" now? LOL!
Actually you are wrong. Many who think they are rocket scientist do? And I am always amused as that they can't wipe?

Not joking you are playing with the wrong person if you think stupidity reigns?

But we have not even gotten to drivers or BIOS updates? You really think? I mean you really do?

OK more power to you! I have nothing more to say.
OK I do have more to say. I have never in my life seen someone repeatedly post about multiple problems as much as you have. I hardly think you are a candidate for all you talk about? You can't even keep a factory system running. And you now twist? Have fun.

Dude uhm about an hour ago I had mega respect for you, now you sound like a total retard!

First of all, I'm use to Dell systems, not HP's! There are questions that I have because I'm not use to how HP stuff works. It's not because I'm stupid when it comes to computers...computers are my profession.

Secondly, you seem to be confused about "factory systems" verses "clean install" systems. When a computer comes from the factory it's installed with a bunch of junk on it also known as "bloatware." Most advanced computer users (such as myself), wipe the hard drive and perform a clean install of the OS which removes all of that junk, installs ONLY the OS and then you must manually reinstall all of the drivers for the hardware inside the system. Seriously, I'm not sure why this is so confusing for you to understand...especially by your post count. I'm pretty surprised at the remarks coming out of your mouth here.

Nobody is "playing with you", but I'm guessing you are not American by the way you type...you kinda don't make any sense. When did I say anything about the BIOS? I didn't lol...

Don't get mad at me because you seem to be confused on why people do "clean installs" verses using a system from the factory with all that junk on it. Maybe you should read up some...

This whole situation got started up because you were upset that I was on NBR and because you were banned from the site you were not able to post a response to the thread that someone else over there started about my system model. Apparently you have problems with other people if you are being banned from websites. Don't pull me into your drama...

Watch the language gentlemen. Every one has her/his own opinion and is welcome to state it. But calling each others name is a no no here!

cheers ...

Just checking in? Dayvid I likely could of miss judged you. I might of projected? But I think the "clean" install is over rated. Agree with me or not? So do. I Hate to say and mean no disrespect.

This is an ongoing argument with my brother who is a programmer. And I do not treasure the recollections.

With out insulting you, why would you think a stagnant application/program would affect performance? OK I recognize it takes HDD space. But how does it affect anything else? Yea it doesn't.

Maybe next time when you show up to a fist fight you bring some xxxxx? If a knife fight bring a gun?

If not just make sense?

You are simple my friend! Sorry!

I have been doing clean installs on systems probably since the year 2000, it's just something I feel better doing verses just uninstalling all the crap that's on there from the factory. Yes it's very time consuming...especially when you are dealing with a new pc vendor verses one you have been with for years.

I have balls, it was you who went wacko on me lol.

OK now I'm having issues with "digital vibrance" not sticking after a reboot (NVidia GeForce GT 320M.) The default value is 0%, I set it to 20%, reboot and it resets back to 0%...GRR! I'm guessing this is because the drivers that HP included for the card are incorrect...I dunno. This is all very frustrating.
