TOSHIBA SATELLITE L455-S5975

My girlfriend had an accident, and her laptop was completely ruined, She has been offered a secondhand Toshiba Satellite model as stated above.. I don't find any reviews for this model and am wondering when it was first released, and if anyone has this model and cud give me some specs. I just don't want her getting ripped off, as for the moment she is living in Africa where computers cost a bomb. She has been offered this laptop for 900 dollars, which is pretty cheap for Africa (but is secondhand). I have been to the Toshiba website but the model is not listed so I presume it is pretty old. Can anyone give me any info on this please, Thanks very much in advance ! I want to essentially know the size of RAM, HD Capacity. I know it has a sound card, and cud I suppose use an external webcam, anyway really interested in how old this computer is, thanks again any info.

Removable storage often relates to 2nd bay where you can swap out optical drive or a 2nd hard drive.

What were you going to get for $425??? a mini???? Just curious. Thats the only ones I see for around $400

Saugen48 - this is the original msge I posted. long time ago. so was surprised when seanr7 proposed that laptop, cos all has been sorted quite a while ago. Anyway u wud never find a laptop in Africa for that price for the main reason most people cannot afford laptops so there is hardly any market, the people have no buying-power, so anything like that over there costs a fortune. I can buy an external HardDrive here for 100 dollars, in Ghana, that wud cost me $500. all those people over there use internet cafes.....

Sorry, I was questioning seanr7 as to what kind of Toshiba he was suggesting for $425.
The link was for the whole toshiba site and the only thing I seen near $425 was a mini and I know your girlfriends L455 was not a mini.
