Device manager says semi-duplex sound, AverTV help file says full duplex recquired for time shift. Is this the reason why i can't use time shift function?
Actually I can use it,but while on pause I still get the live audio, and after resuming from pause I will get both the live sound and the time shifted sound at the same time... making the time shift function useless.
For audio input I have to use mic in or coax(via RCA adapter) I get nothing but a very faint mix of sound/noise from the tuner audio input. However using the microphone input gives very loud sound (like 10 times what I get from dvd playback at same volume setting), so loud I fear it could damage the speakers if I put the volume at more than half.
So, have anyone used the time shift function or TV tuner audio input with success?

My mistake, the semi-duplex thing i was looking at in the device manager is the modem i think. The sound card is full duplex and support the timeshift function. Now works like a charm
