Graphic card issue/game issue

I just bought Battlefield Bad Company 2. I have a problem when online if I fire my gun or there is smoke on a map my screen flickers and there are big blocks of color. First I try all the different settings- high low med. AA etc. I got the problem on everyone. Next I think driver issue so I download the latest driver off Nvidia. I have a 8700m gt in my m15x. well it installs. then I go to device manager and it says error 43. so the graphics card disabled it's self. I usually use another monitor and it wound display. I look on line and someone said it had to do with using vista. Other games work fine such as Modern warfare 2, Crysis. Just this game and I think its a driver issue or a patch needed on a game. Anyone else have driver errors or know how to fix this one. I ended up doing a system restore back to before I installed the driver so I can duel screen and the graphics card works. I don't know what to do.

I had an error 43 and it ended up being the card was bad. This error was random for a few days(meaning some games would work and some would not) then it did on boot then just died.

my card still works fine and I have had it work fine with the driver I have now, its just that new game and the new driver issue so I'm don't think I will try reinstalling that driver
