Please can anyone help? I am running Vista Home Premium Ver 6.00 without any Service Pack update, because the Fujitsu website says I can't update it. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 but it also says it doesn't support that. Microsoft Update says I need to update Vista first anyway. Does tht mean I am stuck with an unsupported Vista after April when MS gives up on it? I would be grateful for any advice, thank you.

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

Well what can I say, I needed that little bit of extra storage that as a family we could all use. After searching around I narrowed it down to three suppliers, not the cheapest, but all well...

If you have an official Vista version why would you need to get it updated to SP via Fujitsu? You should be able to update your current Vista via Microsoft Updates at anytime!
You can also take a shot at W7 and must search for appropriate drivers on your own, which is not so bad.
And I have not heard that Vista is being dropped after April

Sorry, I obviously didn't explain properly. I looked at upgrading via MS to Windows 7 - MS Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor software says I can't unless I first update Vista to SP2. Vista without the Service packs 1&2 won't be supported after April. My Li 1718 won't find the Service packs, a MS known issue, which says try and upgrade the BIOS via the maufacturers website. I went to Fujitsu website but can't find a BIOS upgrade. You think I should just go for the Win 7 anyway?

. One of many links that allow you to get Vista Service Packs.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
. Sure, if you have a W7 licence, go for it. Most of your devices drivers are probably already within W7 itself.
