Inspiron 6000 updates

Thread Starter
Hello, I am having problems with my Inspiron 6000. Everytime I try to play a movie in Windows media I get this message.
"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card." I also have a Pro photo/video editing software that is not running right, the company told me that I might need to update my driver.I have the intel pentium 1.50ghz, 2.00 GB of RAM, updated service pack from Microsoft. I have went through and updated everything I could on Windows and the Dell website. I still have the ATI Mobility Radeon x300.I dont know if I need more memory, better processor, new video card, or what I can do with out putting new hardware if I dont have to. I am sure that this computer was built with the ability to be able to do these functions that I am unable to do now. Some of the updates will not work, they say that pieces are missingor not compatable.

Your OS? Up to date? Try with different codecs? Or another media player?

cheers ...
