Help! How does one know if there Video card is Bad Or Just The HeatSink?

Hello: My Screen is Black! 3 Flashing green lights, and shuts down! This is a brand new Motherboard from Ztronics.com. I got the Motherboard because my Video card Heatsink Came loose 1 of the 4 posts broke off of the old Motherboard and my screen would go Black so I got A New One 200.00 Now Black Screen 3 Flashing Lights and Shuts Down! No Fans Work, So How can I tell if it is the Nvidia 7800Go GTX Chip or the Heatsink? OR ANYTHING ELSE? Hopefully Someone can Help!

Do you know your BIOS manufacturer? The flashing lights sound like a BIOS error code. If you know which BIOS manufacturer you have, then you can look it up and find out the problem.

Okay, it looks like you've got a Phoenix BIOS. Are you hearing any beeps or just seeing flashes when the computer turns on?

Just 3 Green Flashes then it shuts down! No Beeps! I just ordered this part and I hope that is right. GF-Go7800-GTX-A2 We have some confusion over this though. What I have is Nvidia GeForce Go 7800 GTX w/GDDR3 Ok! Now hears the deal, When You look at this on Ebay Or the internet they show it with the Heatsink on it. Square with a fan on the heatsink, go to Bizrate or new egg thats what they show you 400.00 I talked with one person at Impact computers and he had me take the heat sink off and find the number on the board itself, cant remember it off hand but he said it would be over 600.00. if you look at the chip it is GF-Go7800-GTX-A2 and that is what I ordered 80.00 Now is that the chip or the Video Card Or The card The chip and the Heatsink? they couldnt tell me! No Picture of it! And if it is the chip is it hard to put in? Looks like the old one is in there pretty good but does have a golen arrow on the End of it, like a regular chip, Dont know if its intigraded or not. I hope they dont send me a video card for a Desktop! Thanks!
