Hey whats up everyone! I bought the mini 110c for my GF as a xmas gift last year and she managed to destroy it in just 3 months already. she somehow corrupted the MBR and it was bluescreening like a mofo! anyways all said an done I fixed it for her my problem now is with the SATA hdd that it has. I went to driverpacks.net and found the drivers there since I use that site frequently. but I get this error message "cant find cmd.exe" and then some really wierd funny sounding message. I forget what it says but it has to do with "fake setup" I understand that you have to change the WINNNT.sif file edit a line and then edit some text on the oldsetup.exe file. I can't seem to get it to work and I can't find SATA drivers anywhere else so I can reload windows back on this computer. HP is by far no help because not only do they want me to pay for shipping their techs are idiots. I spent 2 hrs online the other night with a tech and I kept telling him that I just needed a SATA driver so I can slipstream it on the install cd and thats it. he kept insisting that I check my bios, make sure my drive boot sequence was right... .yada yada yada. he finally caved after nothing he told me to do was work... OBVIOUSLY. anyways any help would be greatly appreciated. I noticed free email accounts are not allowed to reduce spam and IMO its a GREAT!!! idea. kudos to the inventer of it. at least I dont have to worry about stupid spam messages that take up the space of a credible response.
