So I ordered a new GF-GO7800-GTX-A2 Now what I am wondering since there was no picture of what I ordered, will this come as a chip on a card? to put into my heat sink or just a chip? and if so is that chip intigratted into the card?Im sure that i,ll find out when it comes, I would just like to hear peoples thoughts! If you havent already done so, you should familiarize yourself with what your video card looks like. A screw driver will help you here. All you need to do is undo the cover, unscrew your old video card and unattach the 30-pin connector, then basically you repeat the process but in reverse using your new card. Win7 will download the latest video driver for you.
I don't think your problem is your videocard though. It's likely the flourescent light in your LCD has gone bad, or possibly the inverter is going bad. If it's just the inverter, you would see something on the screen, just extremely dim. If you dont see anything, get a new flurescent bulb and replace it.
