What was the display doing that forced you to reset BIOS.
Have you tried your laptop with an external monitor...If that works, then I would say your LCD is dead....if it doesnt work, then your GPU (vid chip/motherboard) is shot

Is there a reason why you took out the battery??? ( I assume thats what you mean by "pulling out the bios")

i tried to reset the bios settings because it was password protected , after i did that i was able to bypass the password and i found out that the HDD was password protected and i pulled out the battery again and the hdd , that didn`t work. After that i put the HDD back along with the battery and when i started the laptop i noticed that the LCD didn`t start.

Try removing and re-seating the CMOS battery and battery again. Leave them out for a few minutes and see. This does not work, you might have to send the comp in.

cheers ...

Is there a way that you can contact the previous owner for the passwords? Combination of BIOS and HDD passwords can very much render the notebook to a door stop if one tries to crack them

Best bet - as in above post - is to send it in for reset.

You should be able to choose your home country, send them a mail and request information about the closest office/repair centre to send the notebook in.

From past experience if the BIOS has a password on it and it is sold on 99% of the time the previous owner removes the password in order to sell the laptop, likewise will also format the drive to remove (in one sense ) the personal data of themselves (ie registration, passwords etc.)... Not passing judgement here, just going on past experience and other forums rulings on password support....

Heres what to do... Remove the main battery and mains power, reseat your RAM... Push and hold the power button for 30seconds.... Put the main battery back in and press the power on button for 30 seconds again... Then try booting up normally... If this fails to work, something on the motherboard may have gone when you removed the CMOS battery...
