At best with Clevo's next roll out. But a couple of things. Clevo is ahead of DeLL and Alienware always on new platforms. That would be CPU's and new chipsets. AlienWare was slow on the i7 and DeLL is still mostly C2D. Clevo is on top of as much HP and Asus on the same. So I am at a loss on the comment Clevo is usually a few months behind? I know USB 3.0 is a little different but as such what is the few months coming from. I am just not sure and strikes me as odd. USB 3.0 does require a new chipset and as Clevo is ahead of DeLL and AlienWare how can they be behind?
OK HP released the first USB 3.0 and on one model 15" Envy. Asus appears to be even more aggressive on this currently having on two units N61/N71JQ. Dell offers 1 M6500 and the unit cost is like $2800. My point is while they may exist on some models by these makers not widely offered at this point. I would further say not offered on any comparable type of system as a Clevo buyer would consider.
So as qhn said I hope soon but I would further mention at least on the Asus you lose the eSATA. So consider currently with less USB 3.0 devices you lose a more common standard for fast data transfer.
I am not trying to bash USB 3.0 I think it is very cool and likely the future. I just am not excited about being this early of an adopter. It does not offer much of what it will at some point in the future at this time.
At this time with the usable lifespan (performance) of a notebook at 3 years eSata and firewire will carry you through just fine real world.
On 16GB of RAM? Maybe next product roll out but they will have to have 4 slots at this point. And at this point Intel only says any of these chipsets support 8GB max. I know Intel is behind with their white papers but food for thought.

My comment of Clevo always running behind is that they tend to put out comparable (or better) models later than the competitors - not all the time, but they lag in model introduction. Nothing to do with technology
Regarding USB3, current Clevo chipset and systems can support it, but again, Clevo chooses NOT to roll out models with USB3 - yet. Thus the remark of "running behind".
cheers ...

I am still mad at DeLL and AlienWare, I think they are slow.
