Alienware M11x CPU change?

I ordered one with the SU7300 (best choice they offered), I know this is a socket P motherboard. The processor only uses 10w would there be a problem with me putting in a SL9600 or something like this it uses 17 watts. Not sure what socket it uses all I am saying is if I do my research and find a comparable socket could I put a better processor in this laptop and how would I go about finding a better fan to install in it to vent increased heat. Thoughts/Ideas?

It is not socket P. It is a BGA socket I believe soldered.

I could be wrong but agree with powerpack - this is a bit like a netbook in design.

After some research I have found out it is a BGA956 socket, I am still unsure if its soldered or uses a socket. I don't actually have it yet.

"Like the earlier Core 2 Duo SU9xxx series, they are always soldered on using a BGA956 package and have a TDP of only 10 W"

BGA soldered on adapters with pins do exist but I think those were only desktop CPU's and I think those are older. Not 100% sure on all that. But when I read BGA I assume soldered until shown wrong. In two years not aware of being wrong.

BGA on PGA must be done at the factory no one can do by hand. That is why CPU issues on a BGA is a board swap.
