Hi- I tried the link in the thread provided but it's dead. "
Invalid or Deleted File
The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire."

Any new links? I am having a hard time with my M5500. The Ethernet, wireless and PCI slots have all quit! I have tried drivers, chipset, dismantling etc, nothing so I want to update the bios which is at 2.0W.

Thanks so much!

Seems pretty hard, that 5550 bios is easily found.
But isn't AW 5550 = m5500i-R3 ?

Let me look for the BIOS once I get home later tonight.

I could not find the back-up last night. I would search some more but in the mean time if any members who downloaded the file before can put it back on, it would be appreciated.

You have the r3 version?

I have the r1 with the Pentium M and I do believe the BIOS version is A05...

I put up a post few days back about 2.06w - is this what you need? Search the Section for it.

Hi- I saw your post for the 2.06w but isn't that for the m5550? My laptop is the M5500 - the 255/259 series.

Thanks again.

That should not make any differences as I am aware of.

Hello,

I'm currently search the same BIOS for my Ahtec 259 EN1, aka Alienware m5500. I post a thread , but at the moment dont have any answer.

A question: how I find if my laptop model is similar to the m5500 rc1, rc2 or rc3 version?

If any person have the m5500 BIOS version, please, it would be appreciated.

Note: for me, cant installed the m5550 2.06w BIOS version (my BIOS is a AMI version, the m5550 seems have a Phoneix BIOS version).

Thanks in advance.

Hello mb67,

THANKS !!!!!

I have been able to pass my BIOS version to BIOS 2.03W, KBC 2.03, Build Date 04/21/06.

If this is the latest version for the m5500, I' having already a problem: my Windows 7 Ultimate 32bits does not work correctly with my Geforce Go 6600 laptop. I'm going to open another post with my problem, to see if somebody can help me.

Thank you very much by the aid, you are brilliant !!!

You guys should all try to upgrade to quadro fx 770m/9600m GT - its supported by the fujitsu bios, and they are only about 100$

Also might want to try the HP workstation version of the ati 3650, its called the v700, and they are 256mb ddr3

Seriously? Fujitsu and HP bios work on this model? Can we confirm this somehow?
