The Sony site has posted new network drivers on 5/5...the version is the same as before 13.1.1.1....I installed them will test to see if the dropped wireless connection issue I have goes away.

I think I got the same version from the Netgear site. They may just have gotten around to publishing them on the Sony site also..who know...

I have the same wireless issue and with the new driver posted the problem still the same. Pls let me know if you find a solution.

I just installed truecrypt 7 and i am still unable to boot when trying to encrypt the system drive.

What did TrueCrypt say about this? Never use an encryption utility myself other than Windows built-in files/folders lock.

Did it give any error messages and/or codes along with the unability to boot issue?

Same as before. it will hang at the bios screen an freeze the machine. needs power removed and drive removed and formatted to boot again.

Possible work around is to run the drive in ide mode not achi mode...but that option is not in the bois.

New bios update on 10/25 fixed the issue with booting with using system encryption.

I also upgraded to 8gigs ram it works.

Great to hear! I wish they give out a new BIOS for my comp - hard drive noise
