Can't do Windows Updates-error code 80070490

I am getting error code 80070490 every time I try to do Windows updates. I have done the system restore as far back as I could and this did not solve the problem. I am going to be putting a new hard drive in the computer, but would like this problem to be resolved first. Anyone know how? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I am using Vista and the first link in the link you posted tells me that what I need to download is that Vista is not a supported operating system.

Try this. If it does not work you might have to re-install Visa anew.
