my M17x dead ?

Hi Guys,

I need your help. i got back to my laptop and my screen was black, all the lights opened though with the front alien head blinking yellow.. i forced a shutdown in winsdows 7 cause nothing was happening. now it just won't start ? any advice ?

Remove the ram modules and the drive(s) and re-seat them. Or you can try the cold power off (battery and ac off) by holding down the power button for 40 secs.

That fails - time to send it back.
