Aspire 5739G Service manual needed

I'm looking for AS5739G service manual - i've already tried google and searched this forum.

I'd like to replace T6600 with T9300 - but need instructions how to open case and detach heatsink

Sometimes you might have to use the guide from another model that is close to yours for the taking-apart. May I suggest taking a look at the 5920 series first?

Check this out... It looks like you may have to totally disassemble the laptop to remove the CPU fan to change the CPU (groan), or if you remove the PCB next to it, you may be able to slide the fan out (once all is unscrewed)...

Mr T i don't think that fan is fastened just by 1 screw - i suppose that there are 2 more at least under the cover (and that's the problem)...

Which would mean its laptop disassembly time... Before doing so consider

a) does it void warranty
b) is it worth the upgrade
c) will the CPU actually work on this laptop...

It can be done with patience thought and a firm, gentle hand.... I have taken many apart without schematics or spare parts to hand, it is not difficult if you are in the right frame of mind...
