Changeing CPU - GM45 with T7100 and GM965 with T6670

Hello @ all,
my question is, is it possible to use a Intel GM45 Chipset with a Intel Core2 Duo T7100 CPU, and is it possible to use a Intel GM965 Chipset with a Intel Core2Duo T6670? I want to change the CPU's between 2 Laptops.
Thanks,
Greetings

GM945 and 7100 no 945 is socket M Napa and T7100 is socket P Santa Rosa. So no.

GM965 is Santa Rosa socket P and T6670 it Montevina socket P. It might work the Santa Rosa supports the 800 Mhz fsb but not sure no guarantee someone has to do to confirm. How about you?

did you read my 1st post correctly?

Both of those cpus have 800mhz fsb instead of 1066mhz for the gm45 chipset, so its odd if you found either installed on the gm45 laptop already.

This also proves that they are 100% interchangeable (also because neither are socket M) so yes it will work.

Here is how you generally figure out CPU compatibility (with core & core 2 duos)
-Make sure none of it is socket M (old and rare)
-Make sure the FSB is not HIGHER than your chipset supports (GM/PM45 is 1066mhz, 965 is 800 or lower)
