Hello everyone i'm helping my buddy with his laptop as soon as we turn on the laptop we get this error "the file is possibly corrupt checksum" I did do the chkdsk /f nothing. After about 2 hours I got it to into vista repair , but as soon as I shut it down and power back on gave me the checksum error again. I did check the harddrive with spinrite came back with no errors. check 2 hours later I get it to repair again this time giving me BSOD, so I gave up can someone shoot me some ideas?

I would try swapping out the ram modules or use one if you have 2 sticks and see first; then possibly another drive next.

cheers ...
