9750 + Win 7 x64 + SSD CT64M225 = problems??

Hey guys,

Just bought a SSD CT64M225, it works fine in other laptop but Sager 9750 doesn't recognize it in BIOS either when i connect the SSD by itself or with other hdd. Should flashing the bios help? It's the one i got it with at the end of 2006.

And also, has anybody made 9750 work with Win 7 x64?

I gotta RMA the SSD if i don't find the way to make it work today

Thanks!!!

Why do you have to RMA your SSD?

Make sure;

1 Superfetch is Disable
2 Windows Defragmenter is Disable
3 Drive Indexing is is Disable

Sager 9750 doesn't recognize the ssd in bios. I can't even use the drive let alone install win 7 x64 on it. Tech support guy at Sager told me in an email that 9750 can't use SSD and is incompatible with Win 7, however im looking for other opinions/experiences as well.

I have an 9750 and am running Win7 great.

I don't know about the drive though. I imagine it wouldn't run it, due to the bios not being written specifically for those types of drives. There are some people out there who write bios code, but I haven't heard of anyone updating the bios for the 9750, to accomodate the SSD drives. If you hear different, let us all know. I would suggest writing Clevo and asking them to update their product. It's a shame they provide support only for newer models. Gives little opportunity for people to upgrade w/ newer componants. More importantly, it gets tough to buy the older componants. Try finding a video card for your 9750. They almost force you to retire your old system and buy a new system that will be scrap within a few years. Upgradeable my ass...

Thanks for all the replies guys!! Wonder if anybody can send me the latest bios for 9750, cause apparently Sager people dont want to do that. One last try before printing that RMA label.

Thanks!
