I have an Acer 5535, that I’m trying and failing to re-set to factory default using the ALT+F10. As it won’t boot into vista. When I use ALT+F10, It goes through the questions screens no problem, do you want to restore etc. But when it gets to the blue screen with now applying the setting it hangs. The cursor is a spinning circle. (5 hrs then turned off)
I don’t have the recovery disks as my teenage daughter, who’s laptop it is. Threw them out, apparently she didn’t need them!
Could anyone offer some advice on what to do next. I was considering using a third party recovery software, Neosmart vista recovery disc or am I barking up the wrong tree.
