Finally got my old 12.1" work horse running Windows 7 64-bits.
Models comparable to the above (S260, S262, S270, S271) are MS-1013 and many Averatec Models where Bluetooth and WLAN modules are on the same card.
Windows 7 would pick up all needed drivers on its own apart from WLAN and O2 card reader.
For WLAN, thanks to Mr T input I was able to dig up the corresponding driver from here.
For O2 card reader, one can use the same driver from Toshiba O2 Micro Card Reader Driver for Windows Vista (32bit/64bit).
What a sight when there is no yellow "!" in device manager
