Want to upgrade video card on FL92

Thread Starter
I just bought a notebook my friend built with an FL92 case and I want to upgrade the video card from a 256mb one to a 512mb or even possible 1gb, but when I tried to swap it out with the Nvidia 7900 GTX from my Sager that crapped out on me (part of me died when that happened) I noticed that the card wouldnt fit in the space. Im wondering if only a certain type of video card would fit in the space and if so what kind or if I have to get the case apart completely. Also wondering if I need to update the BIOS. Any help would be much appreciated.

From some Google searching, it appears your notebook is similar, if not identical, to the Compal FL90, which has an MXM-II slot. This means that you can upgrade to any MXM-II graphics card. The best type II MXM card currently available is probably the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 available from MXM Upgrade.

I checked out the site and it does look like that is the right card, but I don't see any prices in US currency and when I go to the link they say too that card isn't available for sale yet and I couldn't find any email address to contact them. I also tried searching for that card on google nut didn't find any sites where it was for sale. It looks like I might have to wait a little bit, but thanks for the help, its much appreciated.
