Questions - re Acer Extensa 2350 memory

Thread Starter
I have a 2350 with only 256 mb memory. The chip is DDR 333 CL2.5 PC2700.
Q1. Would upgrade to 512 make a big difference to its speed? My thinking is that it is now quite an old machine and is only used for running MYOB, so overspending on memory that won't be fully utilised will be wasteful, so I'm looking at the smaller upgrade before I consider a 1GB upgrade, which I'm sure will do the trick.

Q2. Am I able to use any of these memory chips in this machine?
______________DDR2 667
______________DDR2 667/533
______________DDR 400/333
______________2100 266

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge

Apparantly the max for that laptop is 1GB and will only take DDR 266 or DDR 233 it will not take the DDR2

Yep. Go with the PC2100 if you cannot get a PC2700 that goes with it. Going up (PC3200) might have some adverse effect.

cheers ...
